The Alpine Chalet, in partnership with Moët & Chandon, is now open at Number One Park Lane. This beautiful festive pop-up is a wintery transformation of the terrace restaurant at InterContinental London Park Lane, complete with a Swiss-inspired winter chalet.
If you’re booking a lunch this month, definitely consider Lunch Prix Fixe at The MAINE Mayfair; the epitome of New England extravagance. Two Courses for £44 or Three Courses for £48, including complimentary coffee, tea and water.
There are so many reasons to love The Stafford London, from the hotel’s incredible history, to its much celebrated restaurant, The Game Bird. I have been in and out of the property for years, often bringing clients and friends into The American Bar for meetings, so I was delighted to accept the opportunity to review the hotel.
James and I visited Manthan Mayfair for the first time this month, a welcomed new edition to Mayfair’s bustling food scene and the latest venture from accomplished chef, Rohit Ghai.
New to the table in Mayfair is Carlo Scotto, previously at Gordon Ramsay Holdings, Angela Hartnett at Murano and Galvin at La Chapelle; who has recently opened Amethyst on Sackville Street. Boasting an ever-changing tasting menu, Carlo is offering an intimate and engaging gastronomic experience.
Whether you’re celebrating 20 years an entrepreneur or toasting the tropical temperatures, The MAINE Mayfair is an absolute must. Visit early for the Signature Scramble or Billionaire French Toast; at lunch for a Poseidon Tower; or late for lobster. The menu is varied and exciting enough to keep us returning again and again.
Earlier this month, Annabel’s launched its sixth restaurant called ‘The Japanese’, located on the second floor of the club. An old friend and I recently had the pleasure of visiting The Buttery at The Lime Tree Hotel. Situated in Belgravia’s prettiest street, this quintessential English hotel provides solace from the hustle and bustle of London’s fashionable hotspot.
It isn’t often that I am truly wowed by a lunch, but my recent trip to The Dorchester Rooftop resulted in just that. Following the successful launch in summer last year, The Dorchester Rooftop returns, boasting 64 covers and a concise Mediterranean menu.
This month, we checked into London on Hilton Park Lane, an iconic, towering five-star hotel boasting incredible views over London. The hotel was the very first Hilton to land in the UK, gracing Mayfair with its presence in 1963, becoming a well known destination for luxury stays, fine dining and drinks.
My vision for Pink Tea Cafè was to have a place which captured the essence and history of chai. Mercato Mayfair is the restored St. Mark's Church, which was constructed in 1825 in the Greek Revival style. The room we are in was once ‘The Robing Room” of the priest, a place where the most sacred meetings took place and where the most sacred vessels are kept.
It’s hard to choose a favourite restaurant in Mayfair, so I have a top 5, and Hakkasan has always been on that list…
My sister and I visited Taj 51 Buckingham Gate Suites & Residences the other week to sample the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Afternoon Tea. The luxury hotel, a stone’s throw from Buckingham Palace, has played host to the Queen and various members of the royal family, and numerous dignitaries over the years, making it a perfect spot for a jubilee celebration.
