Introducing ‘Eterna’, a thoughtfully curated cocktail collection inspired by the Golden Ratio - the mathematical principle celebrated for its presence in the natural world, great works of art, and timeless design. Often expressed as 1:1.618 and brought to life through the Fibonacci sequence, the Golden Ratio is a visual language of beauty and balance - and at Vesper Bar, it now forms the backbone of a unique drinking experience.
A Cocktail Menu Designed Like Nature Itself
In crafting Eterna, the bartenders at Vesper have translated this sense of organic symmetry into a spiralling journey of flavour. The menu is structured around the Fibonacci sequence - specifically the numbers 3, 5, and 8 - with each number representing a layer of increasing complexity.
At the core of the menu (symbolically and literally), guests will find cocktails featuring just three key ingredients, offering bold, uncluttered profiles that are straightforward yet striking. As one moves through the menu, cocktails become increasingly refined and intricate, with five and eventually eight elements contributing to more layered and unexpected combinations.
Each page is adorned with imagery drawn from nature, art, and architecture - from the spiral of a sunflower to the form of the nautilus shell - serving as visual cues for the flavour profiles within. Whether creamy, herbaceous, floral, savoury, smoky, or alcohol-free, every cocktail represents a perfect synthesis of ingredients that honour the Golden Ratio’s ideals: harmony, balance, and beauty.
