MAYBOURNE HOTEL GROUP ANNOUNCES THE EMORY, KNIGHTSBRIDGE

January 2023

The Emory Rooftop

Maybourne Hotel Group, who own Claridge’s, The Connaught and The Berkeley, have announced a fourth luxury hotel in London, due to open this winter - The Emory. This modern architectural masterpiece was designed by the late Richard Rogers and Ivan Harbour of RSHP, and will be located in Knightsbridge. This will be the group’s sixth iconic hotel - they also own The Maybourne Beverly Hills and The Maybourne Riviera.

The Emory’s dramatic ‘sails’ will soar above the treetops of Hyde Park. Guests will be wowed by 60 light-filled suites set over 9 floors, and a show stopping penthouse designed by Rigby & Rigby. Each floor will showcase the aesthetic of a different interior designer including Alexandra Champalimaud, André Fu, Pierre-Yves Rochon, Rémi Tessier and Patricia Urquiola.

Unique selling points include a spectacular rooftop with 360 degree views of the capital (hotel guests only); Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s ABC concept of fresh, local and conscious cuisine; and a newly created wellness space for guests, set across four floors and featuring a 22 metre pool. Renowned hotelier Knut Wylde will be General Manager.

Commenting on The Emory, CEO Gianluca Muzzi said “This is our first new London property in 50 years, and we believe it will be a truly ground breaking new addition to our distinguished hotel family. We plan to bring the inspiration and creative energy that have made our other hotels so notable, whilst also making The Emory a world class hub of art and culture. This opening further cements our vision and commitment to growing Maybourne Hotel Group, and heralds a bold new future for the company.”
