CLARIDGE'S ARTSPACE PRESENTS ALEXI LUBOMIRSKI EXHIBITION UNTIL 15TH MAY
This Spring, 24th April - 15th May 2023, Claridge’s ArtSpace, with its own entrance on Brooks Mews in the heart of Mayfair, will present an exhibition of portraits by celebrity and fashion photographer Alexi Lubomirski
This marks the sixth exhibition in the new space created under the hotel, and designed by John Pawson, as part of Claridge’s ongoing commitment to the arts and continued belief in creating dynamic experiences for its guests and Londoner’s alike.
The exhibition coincides with the launch of Lubomirski’s new book, The Sittings (2003-2023) a celebration of his career spent photographing portraits of the entertainment and fashion industry as well as key public figures. From the royal palace to the heart of Hollywood, visitors can expect to be greeted by the faces of Julia Roberts, Serena Williams, Kate Winslet, Jared Leto, Zendaya, Cate Blanchette, Zoë Kravitz and Samuel L. Jackson.
Curated by Tom Usher, Creative Director at Hearst Publications in partnership with Harper’s Bazaar, the exhibition will be running for three weeks between 24th April - 15th May 2023 and will feature both published and unpublished works from Lubomirski’s archive. Many of the portraits within the exhibition have been specially commissioned by Hearst publications including an image of Viola Davis, actress and recipient of a Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Award (2022) hosted by Claridge’s, as well as Elle Fanning, Harper’s May 2023 cover star.
Copies of the book will also be available to purchase in Claridge’s ArtSpace Café, where a public book signing will be taking place on Wednesday 25th April between 5 - 7pm.
