NEW OPENING: CLARIDGE’S ARTSPACE CAFÉ IS UNVEILED ON BROOK'S MEWS

NEW OPENING: CLARIDGE’S ARTSPACE CAFÉ IS UNVEILED ON BROOK'S MEWS

Claridge’s ArtSpace Café

Claridge’s has opened the doors to Claridge’s ArtSpace Café, accessed via Brook’s Mews and open daily with a focus on breakfast and lunch. The menu, curated by Executive Pastry Chef Thibault Hauchard, includes signature crêpes, tortillas, toasties, croque monsieurs and madames, and Claridge’s cakes. Claridge’s cakes are also available supersized, including our favourite, ‘The Mega Mayfair Madeleine’.

Claridge’s ArtSpace Café is the first opening under the hotel’s new Culinary Director Dmitri Magi. Magi says, ‘This is a new kind of dining for Claridge’s – an informal style which will focus on building community, both locally and in the art world. Claridge’s ArtSpace Café is our contribution – with more to come – to making Brook’s Mews a London destination of the future.’

Designed by renowned British architectural designer John Pawson, the café features a patisserie counter, marble communal table, and entry down to Claridge’s ArtSpace – a vast gallery rotating exhibitions, free for all to view.  At the ArtSpace Café, everything (even champagne!) is designed for takeaway, perfect for busy locals and visitors alike.

Artisan coffee is by independent Cornwall-born Origin Coffee, chai lattes feature invigorating turmeric, and blocks of chocolate emblazoned with the Claridge’s crest are to be dunked into hot milk, resulting in one hell of a hot chocolate. Juices, smoothies, kombucha and champagne also join the line-up.

Claridge’s ArtSpace Café aims to further Claridge’s commitment to the arts and Mayfair’s thriving art community, offering a creative hub within the hotel and a rotation of exhibitions, free for all to enjoy. Ceramics full of Sharpies and Claridge’s chevron pencils are dotted round the space, as well as art paper pads, for those who wish to sit and sketch or doodle on the café’s sustainable coffee cups. The first 50 art students who show their ID on Mondays will receive a complimentary coffee!

Visit to view New Frontiers: Movements in Contemporary Art, an exhibition presented by Ben Brown Fine Arts, until 17th April. The exhibition celebrates the unique visions and powerful messages of great contemporary artists including Gavin Turk, Miquel Barceló, Vik Muniz, Candida Höfer, José Parlá and Ron Arad.
