ROLLS-ROYCE PRESENTS PHANTOM ARABESQUE, A ONE-OF-ONE COMMISSION

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has unveiled Phantom Arabesque, a one-of-one Phantom Extended commission that celebrates the rich architectural heritage of the Middle East through a remarkable new chapter in Bespoke craftsmanship.
Created by Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Private Office Dubai, the extraordinary commission takes inspiration from Mashrabiya latticework - the intricate geometric screens found throughout traditional Arabian homes, palaces and courtyards. A defining feature of regional architecture, Mashrabiya represents a beautiful balance of artistry and function, creating privacy while allowing light and airflow to shape the spaces within.

At the heart of Phantom Arabesque is a world first for Rolls-Royce: a fully laser-engraved bonnet. Five years in development, this newly patented technique sees the Mashrabiya pattern carefully engraved into the paintwork itself, revealing contrasting layers beneath to create a tactile, three-dimensional finish that shifts beautifully with the light. The result is a striking example of modern craftsmanship meeting centuries-old design traditions - a surface created not simply to be admired, but discovered.

The architectural influence continues throughout the interior, where the Gallery features an intricate marquetry artwork crafted from Blackwood and Black Bolivar wood, mirroring the geometric patterns of the bonnet. The cabin is finished in a sophisticated palette of Selby Grey and Black leather, with embroidered Mashrabiya motifs, illuminated Starlight Doors and bespoke detailing completing the serene, contemporary atmosphere.
The exterior is equally captivating, presented in a Bespoke two-tone finish of Diamond Black and Silver, enhanced with an illuminated Pantheon Grille, Dark Chrome accents and a hand-painted coachline featuring the signature motif. By combining innovative techniques with cultural storytelling, this unique commission showcases the possibilities of true Bespoke design.
