This month, London’s most distinguished tailoring street is once again weaving together heritage, craftsmanship, and creativity. To celebrate 15 years of The Campaign for Wool, Savile Row has united its tailors for a public exhibition that transforms the Row’s famed windows into a living gallery of wool excellence.

Until Thursday 31st October, visitors can stroll the length of the street and discover exclusive new fabrics, limited-edition collections, and royal-inspired creations, all celebrating the world’s most natural and sustainable fibre.

The Campaign for Wool was founded in 2010 by His Majesty King Charles III, then HRH The Prince of Wales, to champion wool as a sustainable, innovative alternative to synthetics. Its first ever ‘Wool Week’ saw the extraordinary sight of fifty sheep grazing on Savile Row—a bold and brilliant statement that reconnected fashion with the land from which it draws.

Fifteen years on, the campaign continues to inspire designers and consumers alike to “Check It’s Wool” - a message that feels more relevant than ever in an age of conscious consumption and mindful luxury.

The Wool Month exhibition brings together the street’s legendary houses in a collective showcase of design innovation and British tailoring artistry:

  • Henry Poole & Co. introduces The Lonsdale Check, a newly recreated House Fabric inspired by the 5th Earl of Lonsdale’s original tweed. In collaboration with Yorkshire mill Standeven, the cloth has been revived 113 years later - a bright, modern tribute to a sartorial original.

  • clothsurgeon unveils a His Majesty King Charles III–inspired bomber jacket, crafted from the wool bunting displayed during the King’s Coronation in 2023. A creative expression of heritage reimagined for contemporary fashion.

  • Holland & Sherry celebrates the story of wool “from fibre to fabric”, welcoming back Welsh sheep breeders and hand-weavers for live demonstrations that bring the rhythm of rural craftsmanship to the heart of Mayfair.

  • Gieves & Hawkes launches a limited-edition capsule of coats and blazers crafted from Glenlyon Tweed - woven in the Scottish Highlands by one of Britain’s oldest mills. Each piece is steeped in character and designed to endure.

  • Anderson & Sheppard revisits its House Special Tweed Collection, part of an Eco-Luxe circular initiative that reuses and recycles wool waste to create something timelessly beautiful.

  • Huntsman showcases its AW2025 Tailoring Collection, featuring wools from low-carbon British mills - melding traditional craftsmanship with a modern environmental conscience.

  • JP Hackett marks the occasion with a limited-edition SpringRam Cheviot wool coat, woven from Harrisons cloth and released in just 15 pieces, in homage to the 15-year milestone.

Each window tells its own story: of heritage and innovation, of sustainability and style - woven together on the world’s most famous tailoring street.

Peter Ackroyd, Chairman of The Campaign for Wool, says:

“Savile Row has been a central part of the Campaign for Wool since its inception in 2010. Tailors continue to champion Merino and British wool fabrics every day, with bespoke creations sent around the world. We are thrilled to partner once more in celebration of this 15th anniversary.”

Jenny Casebourne, Property Director of The Pollen Estate, adds:

“It’s wonderful to see Savile Row’s tailoring community come together again for a public exhibition that celebrates wool - a fabric that reflects style, craftsmanship, and sustainability. As custodians of this historic street, we’re proud to preserve its legacy while shaping a forward-thinking future.”

As the autumn light falls on the Row, the windows gleam with creativity - from handwoven tweeds and revived heritage fabrics to forward-thinking sustainable tailoring. It’s a reminder that the art of bespoke tailoring is not a relic of the past, but a living, breathing expression of modern craft.

For visitors, Savile Row’s Wool Month offers not just a glimpse into fine tailoring, but a celebration of wool as a natural, renewable, and luxuriously timeless fibre.
