This autumn, Mayfair will play host to a rare glimpse into the world of collectible Scotch whisky. From 19th to 30th September 2025, Sotheby’s New Bond Street will unveil the majority of lots from The Distillers One of One® Auction, offering enthusiasts the chance to preview the craftsmanship and artistry behind each creation.
This week we caught up with Dr. Federica Carlotto, Programme Director MA Luxury Business, Sotheby’s Institute of Art, to find out a little more about the new course.
Sotheby’s Institute of Art have launched an MA in Luxury Business – the first of its kind – allowing participants to gain an in-depth understanding of the ever-changing business of luxury and its cultural contexts. It asks what a new direction in luxury business and leadership looks like today.
From Rembrandt to Richter at Sotheby’s will span over 500 years of art history, revealing the Old Masters with 19th century, Impressionist, Modern and Contemporary artists. This major cross-category summer evening auction will take place in Mayfair, London on 28th July 2020.
Comprising 216 lots, Distilled is estimated to bring a combined total in the region of £1.1 million. Open for Bidding from 14 - 28 May 2020. The auction includes Samaroli, Dalmore 62 and the world’s oldest Cognac.
