THIS MONTH: THE DISTILLERS ONE OF ONE® AUCTION: SOTHEBY'S EXHIBITION ANNOUNCED

This autumn, Mayfair will play host to a rare glimpse into the world of collectible Scotch whisky. From 19th to 30th September 2025, Sotheby’s New Bond Street will unveil the majority of lots from The Distillers One of One® Auction, offering enthusiasts the chance to preview the craftsmanship and artistry behind each creation.
The auction itself will follow on 10th October at Hopetoun House, near Edinburgh, in partnership with Sotheby’s. Now in its third edition, this landmark event unites 35 Scotch whisky distilleries, each contributing to an extraordinary line-up of 39 one-off lots - bespoke works that will never be repeated. Every hammer price will be donated directly to charity.
Since its debut in 2021, The Distillers One of One has raised over £4.3 million, with proceeds principally awarded to Scotland’s Youth Action Fund. The fund supports disadvantaged young people with education, training, and employability opportunities - transforming futures through long-term investment. To date, over 3,300 young people have been reached, with thousands of employability outcomes, qualifications, and mentorships recorded.
Beanie Espey-Geraedts, MD of Distillers One of One, remarked on the impact of this collective endeavour: “Each donor is dedicating significant time, care, and resources to craft truly unique lots—and we can assure you, this year’s line-up is raising the bar once more.”
For collectors, the auction promises a fusion of heritage and innovation. As Jonny Fowle, Sotheby’s Global Head of Spirits, explained: “Distillers One of One is the apex at which whisky meets art and luxury…merging the most historic Scotch whiskies with breathtaking and innovative designs.”
With its blend of rarity, creativity, and philanthropy, The Distillers One of One stands as the most significant whisky charity auction in the world - a celebration not only of Scotland’s most iconic export, but of the lives it continues to change.
