BROWN'S HOTEL LAUNCHES NEW SUITES INSPIRED BY MAYFAIR'S MUSICAL PAST

September 2025

Brown’s Hotel, the Rocco Forte Hotel in the heart of Mayfair, has unveiled three new Forte Suites, each paying tribute to the area’s rich cultural and musical heritage. The Clementi Suite, the Clara Dow Suite, and the Nightingale Suite celebrate figures who left their mark on Mayfair’s artistic history - from Italian maestro Muzio Clementi to soprano Clara Dow and Dame Vera Lynn, the beloved “Forces Sweetheart.”

A creative collaboration between Paolo Moschino Ltd and Olga Polizzi, Rocco Forte Hotels’ Director of Design, the Clementi and Clara Dow Suites reflect a harmonious interplay of classical architecture and theatrical flair, while the Nightingale Suite - designed by Polizzi herself - offers a romantic, dreamlike ambience inspired by the wartime ballad A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square.

The Clementi Suite

The Clementi Suite pays homage to the Roman-born composer with a serene palette anchored by Farrow & Ball’s Calke Green, antique accents, and playful architectural touches.

The Clara Dow Suite

The Clara Dow Suite reimagines the elegance of the soprano star with handcrafted wallpaper, decorative cornices, and Edwardian-inspired details.

The Nightingale Suite

The Nightingale Suite revives Vera Lynn’s wartime ballad with soft lighting, sculptural sconces, and an intimate atmosphere, completed by a striking marble bathroom overlooking Mayfair’s rooftops.

Speaking on the project, Olga Polizzi reflected: “We have created spaces that feel deeply connected - to the building, to Mayfair, and to the people who have shaped it over the years. This project is among the most personal and meaningful we’ve undertaken at Brown’s Hotel.”

Designers Paolo Moschino and Philip Vergeylen added: “We’ve defined the style through carefully chosen colours, rich fabrics, and layered textures, while infusing the space with a modern sensibility. Every element - from the building shell to the bespoke interiors - is conceived as a complete work of art.”

The Forte Suites mark the first phase of an ambitious redesign for London’s oldest luxury hotel, with more spaces set to follow. Rooted in heritage yet interpreted through a contemporary lens, the new suites reaffirm Brown’s Hotel as both a cultural landmark and a sanctuary of elegance in Mayfair. Rates begin at £3,500 per night.
