There are London views, and then there are London views that make you pause. High above Piccadilly, The Athenaeum Hotel & Residences has unveiled two new tenth-floor suites designed to offer one of the most captivating panoramas in Mayfair - stretching across Green Park, Buckingham Palace and the city skyline beyond.
Created by British interior design studio Sims Hilditch, the new one- and two-bedroom suites have transformed the hotel’s former top-floor lounge into elegant, residential-style retreats. The two suites can also be interconnected to create a three-bedroom penthouse, offering an especially private escape above one of London’s most celebrated addresses.
Inside, the mood is quietly luxurious rather than overly formal. Floor-to-ceiling windows allow the view to take centre stage, while bespoke furnishings, beautiful British fabrics and carefully sourced materials bring warmth and character to the interiors. Binoculars are thoughtfully provided, inviting guests to linger over the changing cityscape from morning through to evening.

The details are equally considered. Bespoke artwork celebrates London-based artists, while marble bathrooms feature Paul Smith Botanist toiletries, exclusive to the tenth-floor rooms. In-room comforts include Bang & Olufsen sound bars, LG televisions, Dyson haircare and mood lighting, alongside a curated minibar stocked with Tregothnan tea, London Essence soft drinks and Cartwright & Butler biscuits.
Perhaps the most appealing element, however, is the sense of privacy. Guests have access to a dedicated personal concierge, available around the clock to arrange everything from transfers and reservations to bespoke London experiences.
The launch also marks a new chapter for the hotel’s culinary offering, with Executive Chef Andre Costa bringing more than two decades of experience to the kitchen. His seasonal menus will place British produce at their heart, complementing the hotel’s renewed focus on modern British hospitality.

The new suites are just the beginning of a wider transformation at The Athenaeum, with further investment planned across the bedrooms and ground-floor spaces. For now, though, the tenth floor offers something rather special: the chance to experience Mayfair from above, with London unfolding beautifully beyond the glass.
