Mayfair welcomes a delicious new addition with the official opening of Claridge’s Bakery, led by internationally acclaimed chef and baker Richard Hart as Executive Baker & Creative Director, alongside Frederic Doncel-Latorre as Head Baker. Nestled discreetly on Brook’s Mews behind Claridge’s, the bakery brings a fresh, British-focused menu of beloved classics and globally renowned breads to London locals and visitors alike.
The menu, crafted by Richard, celebrates the art of British baking with signature offerings including Bloomers and Granary Loaves, Jammy Dodger Tarts, Malt Loaf, Belgian Buns, and Iced Fingers, alongside his world-famous sourdough. Every item is baked fresh from the ovens, ready to nourish the neighbourhood throughout the day.
Richard Hart shares,
“Opening Claridge’s Bakery feels like the moment when all the work, the recipes, and the ideas finally meet the people they’re meant for. Claridge’s has always stood for a certain kind of hospitality and bringing that spirit into the Bakery has been a joy. I’m excited for Londoners and travellers alike to discover and taste what we’ve created for them.”
Beyond breads, the bakery offers an array of savoury delights including Marmite Cheese Straws, Scotch Eggs, the ultimate Claridge’s Sausage Roll, and a Yorkshire Pudding Wrap with roast beef and gravy available on Sundays. Sweet treats pay homage to childhood favourites with Bakewell Tarts, Lardy Cake, Walnut Whips, Fruit Turnovers, and colourful French Fancies. For those on the go, freshly made sandwiches, quiches, and hot specials are available for takeaway.

It is a significant moment for Claridge’s, and we are very happy to be offering a whole new bakery concept to hotel guests and visitors alike.”
